Brief
Looped Gallery is a proposal for a “continous” gallery space, that fuses between the outdoor and indoor venue spaces, via a double ribbon circulation. The staircase a main feature extends and connects at points, creating platform levels that are used to display or shade a venue space. An intial spatial study was applied to the program, which was subjected and adapted further with the application of parametrics language, in an aspect of the project. The parametric language approach taken here was to use parametrics to block or let sunlight into spaces, responsive to the gallery venue, as light is a critical factor to display artworks, hence basically allowing the facade or the external skin of the building to respond to the desired specifications, in the location provided.
