Brief
The studios goal was the generation of a “city-infrastructure for the production, packaging, distributing, serving of a food source” adjacent plots are placed side by side, creating in essence a collective food market where by production is done on site. Prior to the selection of the food source for each individual plot, architectural exercises were implemented, to determine three factors in the design (circulation, modular, and light) and precedent exercise to assist with familiarization with the studio goal. The selected food source, selected was fish, as the three factors of design did not have to appeal directly to the users of the space. Hence with the choice of fish, free following circulation was possible, modular fish tanks to place the fish, and the refraction and reflection of light occurring in the water generates a pleasant scene for the visitors.
